About Tony Mills
Whilst I was a Research Scientist I had been a keen hobbyist photographer but now photography is my full-time profession. Photography is a fantastically creative medium. Like the longer established medium of paint, styles and interpretation of subjects is only limited by our own imaginations. With my images I am trying to explore these limits. My love for the medium of photography pre-dates the digital era. I have my own darkroom for printing both Black+White and Colour (from slides). When printing photographs one not only has the opportunity of being creative during the taking of the photograph, but also the ability to modify that image during printing. Thanks Gary, it was just one of those magical early morning, early Spring moments that you just don't want to end. A coming together of the divers, (loons), the morning sun, and the Spring trees. What the picture doesn't capture, of course, is the eerie calls of the divers.
