About Tony Mills
Whilst I was a Research Scientist I had been a keen hobbyist photographer but now photography is my full-time profession. Photography is a fantastically creative medium. Like the longer established medium of paint, styles and interpretation of subjects is only limited by our own imaginations. With my images I am trying to explore these limits. My love for the medium of photography pre-dates the digital era. I have my own darkroom for printing both Black+White and Colour (from slides). When printing photographs one not only has the opportunity of being creative during the taking of the photograph, but also the ability to modify that image during printing. Love this Photograph and the moment captured of the yellowhammer !!! A flock of around 25-30 yellowhammers made my garden their home last winter...they stayed and were a delight to watch ...these bright yellow specks of feathery beings in the snow and later on too...were here till spring and slowly migrated to the fields I guess...miss them a lot
